| Well, I'm pretty bored right now, so I guess I'll update. Char and Maple came last night after their Long Beach trip. I cooked...Charlene ate...and ate...and ate... I hadn't seen Maple in a long time, so it was really good to see her. They left this morning so Charlene could do some Irvine stuff and now here I am...studying for the MCAT's. They're coming up in less than 3 weeks and I'm starting to get realllllllllly nervous. I don't feel really prepared. I learn the stuff but then I forget it in a week, so i don't know how i'm gonna review everything from before. After the MCATs though, I'm gonna try to enjoy the rest of the summer. I might go to Mexico for a weekend or something, or just go somewhere and have fun. Oh my parents also came last weekend and I hung out with them. Shopped a lot the past couple days =). I think I deserved it after studying so hard. But anyways, time to go back to studying. | | |
| So I went to Universal Studios yesterday with Eric, Linda, and Phil. It was my first time going since I was 4. Turned out to be really fun, despite the near death experience on the way home. Went on the new mummy ride (fun but too short), Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Shrek 4-D, T2 3-D, the tram thing, and I forgot the others. We stayed there for almost the whole day...sucks how food costs so much there. It was nice weather too. It beats sitting around the apartment all day without TV. Oh yeah...for some reason, we lost our free cable. Now we don't get any channels =/. Oh well, that'll give me a chance to study. Ok time to read for women's studies. | | |
| So spring quarter's starting and I have a lot to do... I did well last quarter, which helped my cumulative gpa a lot, but i still need to raise it even higher. I'm gonna be doing conversation partners again this quarter, and I'm hoping to tutor next year for $$$. I'm not too sure whether or not I'm gonna work in the lab this quarter because my schedule's sort of all over the place. I want to though...need those recommendation letters. I also wanted to start a club...but seems sort of hard. This summer I'm gonna be taking MCAT classes and taking the MCAT. I'll also be working in lab and maybe taking biochem or genetics or a psyc class? And the one free month I have, I'll be going to LA to shadow one of my sister's friends and next year i'll shadow a family friend who works in the ER at the riverside VA hospital. There's a lot going on, but I hope I get everything done that I want. This entry was basically just a reminder to myself of what I still need to do, more than an update for you guys because I'm sure none of it was very interesting. Oh...and I still need a haircut. Haven't gotten one since Christmas...=/. Gonna try hard this quarter and get another 4.0..hopefully! | | |
| Finals are finally over as of yesterday. I never want to have a final or Saturday again. It throws me off. I think I did ok on all my finals, maybe not ochem though..it was pretty tough. I always do worse than I expect to... Hoping for a 4.0 this quarter, that's the reason why I decided to only take three classes. Eric just left and here I am, all alone for the rest of the week. I don't know how I'm gonna keep myself busy. My parents are coming on Thursday and we're going to Vegas. Time to clean up the apartment. | | |
| I guess it's finally time for an update, huh helen? It's been awhile, but there's really not much to say. Finals are coming up next week. I'm only taking three classes, so it shouldn't be too bad. Then after that, it's spring break. I'm not going home...staying in Riverside for spring break. My parents are gonna come down the second half of the week and we're gonna go to Vegas. There really is no point in going to Vegas if you're under 21, but there are buffets =). Also, me, Eric, Linda, and Phil might go to Universal Studios. Actually, it's mostly me and Linda who want to go...we're just gonna drag Eric and Phil along. Otherwise, where would we get a ride? I'm just looking forward to a break and not having to think about school anymore..for awhile at least. This summer I'm planning on staying in Riverside to study for MCAT's =/. I don't feel prepared whatsoever. Then after the MCAT's, I'll be going to LA for the rest of the summer so I can shadow a doctor, hopefully one of my sister's friends who can write me a good recommendation letter. Besides that, there's not much excitement going on in my life. | | |
